Balai Cerap Negeri Sembilan (Negeri Sembilan Observatory), located in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia is a leading astro tourism destination for astronomy enthusiasts and curious minds alike. Home to one of the largest telescopes in Malaysia, the observatory offers visitors a chance to explore celestial wonders, from the Moon and planets to distant stars.


 

Our mission is to promote interest in astronomy through public outreach, educational programs and hands-on experiences. Whether you are a student, researcher or a casual stargazer, the observatory provides astronomy gallery, skywatching events and interactive activities to spark curiosity and deepen understanding of the universe.

  • To ensure your booking proceeds smoothly, please contact us at least one week before your intended visit date.

🌙 Moon Observation Sessions are generally available during the 7th to 15th day of the lunar (Hijri) month, when the Moon is most suitable for public telescope viewing.

Important: The dates and times in this calendar are calculated for Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. Observation information is based on the visibility of celestial objects from the observatory location and the capabilities of the telescopes available at the observatory. Actual viewing conditions may vary depending on weather and sky clarity.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

  • Tickets are limited and on a first come first served basis. Once a slot is full, it will no longer be displayed in the ticketing options.
  • The observatory operates on a time-ticketing system, please be at the entrance or lobby at least 10 minutes before your entry time.
  • All e-tickets are required to be registered at the counter in order to collect a wristband. Please bring along your identification card or passport for verification at the registration counter.
  • Each ticket is valid for 2 hours from the time stated on the e-ticket. No additional time will be given for late registration.
  • Observation at Solar Dome and Main Dome is subject to weather conditions. Once payment has been made, no reschedule or refund will be provided due to unfavorable weather.
  • An adult MUST accompany children below 12 years of age.

  • This Observatory building is not equipped with an elevator to access Level 6. Please use the staircase provided. We apologize for any inconvenience.
